Employee Conflict
The Financial Director of a local Professional Services Company approached me to help with some people issues within their business. They are too small to have an HR department themselves but wanted advice.
We agreed I would work for them on a retainer and provide advice on employee issues, on an as needs basis. This involved meeting with the Board and providing HR guidance on possible solutions to the issues that they faced. Obviously, I can’t go into detail due to confidentiality but the FD now feels he is in a position to handle the situation with professional help at the end of the phone when needed.
