I know it seems that I’m promising a lot with this title, but the fact remains that 46% of businesses are planning to make redundancies in 2009 (source: Randstad Survey, 2009) and if you’re one of them, it can be a very stressful and expensive time.
What a lot of firms don’t realise though is with a bit of planning, it doesn’t have to be as stressful or cost as much as you think you can try this out. And with the planning in place, the staff who are left after the redundancy process can be made to feel valued and better about what’s happened.
