Team Building

Are you managing a team that Is under pressure to deliver? Is your team struggling to solve problems? Is your team often dysfunctional?

I am a strong team-building facilitator, who excels at designing and running development programs. I also provide individual workshops addressing key team issues. Such as helping a team identify its key priorities and goals, providing effective vision, creating a set of values, clearing away blockages for processes to work, and helping team members communicate effectively.

I use Insight Discovery psychometric testing to help teams get to know each other better. By understanding themselves they will be better equipped to work with others in their team. Everyone has different preferences for working and it is a leader’s job to guide them on how to do their jobs properly. Creating the right team with the right people is crucial for success.

I worked with the Senior leadership team at McBraida a precision instrument company based near Bath, Somerset. The challenge was to get the team working more effectively. I used Insights Discovery Personality profiling to help each of the team members understand their preference for working. This gave them a common language to be able to share concerns and challenges with each other. They were able to appreciate that they came at things differently and each had different way of going about things. This led to a common set of agreed actions and a plan to move forward with agreed priorities. They then cascaded this work down to their management level and across sites to their Poland factory Supervisory staff.

I learned that dysfunctional and high performing teams are not that different its just that the dysfunctional ones benefit from understanding more how others tick.

Post Redundancy Motivations – TS Tech (Honda)

TS Tech a manufacturer of car seats is a subsidiary of Honda based in Swindon UK.

The company had just undergone a redundancy program and needed to re-engineer its workforce. Pamela designed for them a bespoke Management Development program focussing on their Directors and Senior Management.

The program, delivered as five half-day workshops, addressed the Softer People Skills side of leadership. It covered Business climate & communications, strategy, change, motivation, performance management, teamwork, project management, and personal development.

The attendees completed a 360 performance review and included MBTI psychometric testing.

The program was such a success Pamela was invited to repeat it the following year for their operational managers.
